CERAMICS

LBIF’s ceramics program, established in 1948, continues to thrive as a hub for ceramic sculpture for all ages. Renowned ceramists and sculptors teach and exhibit here, and the program is recognized for its excellent facilities, instruction, and workshops. With strong demand, it regularly hosts about 28 full-time studio residencies each summer and another 28 during the winter season.
The Residency Program
LBIF's Ceramics Residency Program offers potters the chance to create in a vibrant communal studio. Residents receive a dedicated wheel or hand-building station along with personal storage, available during summer or winter sessions.
Drop-In Ceramics
Explore the basics of wheel throwing or hand building, or choose from various pre-made ceramic pieces to paint. Drop-in sessions are perfect for a family outing, a fun activity with friends, or simply expanding your love of the arts.
Private Lessons
Make a birthday or anniversary truly memorable with a private session in the ceramics studio. Plan a hand-building project, reserve time on the wheel for a small group, or book a one-on-one lesson tailored to your pottery interests and skills.
